William (Bill) Pistulka has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in many roles of K-12 education.  His career includes 28 years in the field of education as a teacher, coach, principal and superintendent in three different school districts.  For the past ten years, he has been the Charter Schools Officer at Northern Michigan University (NMU).  During his tenure, Bill doubled the number of schools authorized by NMU, developed policies and increased the staff of the charter schools’ office.

His education background includes a Master’s Degree in Education Administration and Leadership from Northern Michigan University, a Bachelor’s Degree in History Education from Lake Superior State University and various higher education credits in education.  Bill is a past member of the Michigan Public Schools Academies Board of Directors, Treasurer for Region One of the Michigan Association of School Administrators, as well as serving as a representative on the Education Leadership Committee.
